Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!

We started learning all about letters. We have been enjoying singing, dancing, and learning how to correctly form our letters. We have also enjoyed coconuts and will continue to learn more about our letters, senses, and coconuts this week. We just had to read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!

What's inside my bucket? Letters! We counted and put the magnetic letters in abc order.

I introduced the 5 senses with the help of a friend.

Then we enjoyed learning this song...

Pass the coconut. What does it feel like? What does it smell like? What do you see? What does it sound like?

Names

We read the story A My Name is Alice. We made self portraits.

We also read Chrysanthemum. We counted, measured and graphed how many letters we have in our name.

Have you filled your bucket?

This week we continued to learn about our classroom routines and expectations. (I had to change a few things so the day will flow a little better)...Things have got to flow!! I finally introduced our buckets. Children who show kindness each day can fill up their buckets with a pom pom.
