Leaves, leaves, leaves

What's in the mystery box? 

 

 

A leaf!

 

 

We worked together to sort leaves. 

We read  Leaves, Leaves, Leaves! 

 

We acted out the life cycle of a leaf.

First the bud.  Then the bud slowly opens up.

 

 The leaf is attached to the tree. 

 During the fall time after the leaf has done its job, it barely hangs on.  After rain and wind, the leaf falls to the ground. 

We broke up into groups and drew a tree in a particular season. 

Each group had to explain their tree to the class.  The

class had to guess which season the tree was in. 

We then put our seasonal trees in order. 

Jeopardy....Kindergarten style.

Kindness

We read the story One Smile.  It's about a little girl whose one smile touched many hearts in one single day.  We broke up into groups with our 3rd grade buddies and wrote skits showing a kindness act.  We had fun acting out the skits we wrote.
