Let it Snow!

Here are a few of our winter centers:

Painting with Marshmallows.

Roll, count, find popcorn word and write.

Don't Break the Ice

Working with medial sounds.

Crack the code.

Measuring with snowflakes.

We read about how people survive in colder climates.

We made an Eskimo and reviewed the short vowel sound of /e/.

We have been learning about solids, liquids and gases.

Visit back so you can see our experiments with matter!

We read Sneezy the Snowman and wrote about what snowmen shouldn't do!

While it was snowing outside our window, we had another snowball fight inside.  This time, our snowballs had a sight word on it.  The children had to read their sight word.

Who said we needed snow to make a snowman?  We made our own snowman!

We wrote the steps on how to build a snowman using the words first, next, then, and last.

We estimated snowballs.

Martin Luther King Jr.

We were so happy to see each other after such a long break.

We love playing I have....Who has....?

We read a book about Martin Luther King Jr. and wrote about what we learned.

We learned that that Martin Luther King Jr. wanted everyone to be treated fairly.
We had fun with m&ms.  We read The M&M Counting Book and shared our m&ms equally with a friend.
