Water Cycle

We explored the water cycle.

We made the water cycle by heating up water.  The children were able to see all of the steps to the water cycle.

After learning about the water cycle, the children made posters and explained how the water cycle works.

Enjoy our song!

We read In the Rain with Baby Duck.

We listened for all of the words in the story that the author used instead of using the word said.

We designed our own umbrellas.

We tested different fabrics to see which was the best to wear in the rain.  Nylon won!

We jumped through puddles with our ponchos on and raced while reading our sight words.

Clouds

We observed and studied about the three major types of clouds:  cirrus, cumulus and stratus clouds.  We had fun sorting the clouds.

We made the different clouds out of cotton balls.

We read The Cloud Book by Eric Carle and made our own unique cloud shapes.

We took the end of our paintbrushes to make details in our pictures just like Eric Carle.

Spring is here!

We welcomed Spring by reading nonfiction books about the new season.  The children made a circle map of the signs of spring and wrote about them.

We love hearing Frog and Toad stories and have fun answering questions about the stories.

We estimated skittles and broke up into groups and compared how many colored skittles were in our bag.
