Each Friday, we pair up with a 3rd class and learn new things together.  They will be are "chums" for the remainder of the school year.  Please look for our projects that we do throughout the year.

We have been talking about our personal past, present and future.  The children shared something that represented each one of these items of their own life.  Here are a few pictures.

Welcome to our classroom blog.  Here you will find some of the fun and interesting things we do in class. 

Last week, we were learning about differences and likenesses and we are learning how to sort objects.  We had fun sorting our bears and ended the week with snack outside.  We called it "Our Teddy Bear Picnic."

We reviewed our Kindergarten year.  We came up with nouns, adjectives and verbs to describe our year. 

We welcomed in summer!!

We read Arthur's Family Vacation. We shared our summer plans with each other. 

We had fun with a word find with all of our names. 

Under The Sea!

For our last unit of the year have been learning about life under the sea and having some fun along the way! 

We researched about many ocean animals. We know a lot about Blue Whales. 

We had fun making origami whales. 

We read the story Sand to learn exactly where sand comes from. 

Then we made our own sand! 

 We had fun making sand pictures. 

We reviewed our letter sounds.

"In my bucket, in my bucket,

That I carry to the beach,

I'll bring a towel, and  a t-shirt

and a tomato that I can eat." 

We had a great time fishing for rhymes. 

"A- fishing we will go."

"A -fishing we will go."

We'll catch a whale

And put it in a pail

And then we'll let it go. 

The children came up with some funny rhymes. 

We learned about sharks. 

We reviewed our sight words by playing beach ball zig-zag.  "What color will Mrs. Moss call out?"

Of course, we made fish...

 and crabs that we punched out. 

 We designed our own fish and wrote descriptive sentences about them.  Can you find ______'s fish? 

We even designed our own bathing suits and listed what we would take for the beach, but I forgot to take pictures!!!!  We have been so BUSY!! 

We made clay sea creatures.

We even read about Pirates!
