"Raccoons and Ripe Corn"

We learned a thing or two about raccoons as we read the story Raccoons and Ripe Corn.  We also learned how to sequence a story.  The children loved the book so much that we just had to shuck and eat corn!

Apples!

Just as Johnny Appleseed traveled around the country sharing his apple seeds, we traveled around the school showing our appreciation to others by giving them a bag full of chocolate and a note of encouragement.

Of course, we had to enjoy some of the chocolate.

Here are some of our apple centers!

Fall is Here!

We had fun with our Fall centers!

Painting with hay.

How much does an apple weigh?

Senses

We have been learning about our world around us through our five senses.

Sing Along!!!!

We like the "Find It" games.

    What is that smell?

Is it bitter, sweet, sour or salty?

Feel...but don't look.

Past, Present, Future

We have been talking about our personal past, present and future.  The children shared something that represented each one of these items of their own life.  Here are a few pictures.

Friends

We have been building a classroom community.  We have been learning what it means to be a friend and we have been learning about ourselves.

We all have feelings.

Happy Birthday!

Welcome to Our Classroom Blog!

Welcome to our classroom blog.  Here you will find some of the fun and interesting things we do in class.

Last week, we were learning about differences and likenesses and we are learning how to sort objects.  We had fun sorting our bears and ended the week with snack outside.  We called it "Our Teddy Bear Picnic."
